Nuts & Bolts

Nuts & Bolts provides a deep dive into the basic processes that are required for campaign compliance.

Treasurer’s Trainings are part of this program, for prospective & current treasurers –covering general rules, best practices, and how to prepare for upcoming reporting deadlines.

Issue Briefing Series

Issue Briefings are introductory trainings facilitated by experts of varying fields to teach candidates and their staff how to speak competently on issues of public concern.

Dates & Topics:

  • Wednesday, September 24th at 12pm - Judicial Retention on the Ballot in 2025

  • Wednesday, October 8th at 12pm - How Ballot Initiatives work in Pennsylvania 

  • Wednesday, October 22nd at 12pm - Pennsylvania's 2026 Budget and it's Impact

  • Applications due: Tuesdays at 5pm before each briefing

  • A series for current and prospective candidates, campaign staffers and volunteers.

    These trainings are recommended for those who have attended a LEAD PA training or other campaign training prior and only available via email.

    Our sessions include:

    • A VAN/MiniVan Training, Building a Field Plan

    • Building a Finance Plan

    • Messaging Playbook (For School Board Candidates)

    • Panelist Discussion on Running for Office and Being an Elected Official 

    We encourage current and prospective candidates, campaign staffers, and volunteers to participate in ALL of the available programs for which they are eligible.
